FAQ
Seriously, a Tuesday?
Yes, we know it is unconventional to have a Tuesday wedding. Due to Rae's limited availability in her school schedule along with the resort's requirements for the wedding couple's arrival, we quickly learned that we would need to have a weekday wedding. We chose Tuesday so that our loved ones can travel to Mexico over the weekend and head home mid-week if necessary.
Can I bring the whole family?
Yes!! We specifically chose a family-friendly resort and have included family suites (with bunk beds!) in our room block. Your kids are also welcome at our ceremony, reception, and any other wedding events!

The resort also offers childcare for an additional fee which can be reserved with the concierge.

When should I travel?
We would love it if you can spend the whole week in Mexico and make this a vacation to remember! We arrive Saturday 8/3 and travel home 8/10. The room block includes options for the whole week. If you can't stay the week, we recommend you arrive no later than Sunday 8/4 and schedule your departure no sooner than the afternoon of Wednesday 8/7.
How do I RSVP?
Your room reservation serves as your RSVP. Please be sure to reserve your room through the link provided as soon as possible. The last date to RSVP and book will be February 19th. In order to receive the special rates arranged by our travel agent, you must use the link provided. Additionally, if you book separately from our room block or choose to stay at another resort, a day pass and a wedding guest fee will be required for you to attend our wedding (this is the resort's rule, not ours!) so please reserve through our room block via the link provided.

Will this be affordable?
We worked with our destination wedding travel agent to find a resort that would provide an amazing vacation experience for all of our guests, while remaining affordable so as many of our loved ones can join us as possible. In addition to securing amazing rates, our agent [Hola Weddings] has arranged a helpful payment plan.

At the time of booking, $200 will secure your room.

$350 per person will be due on March 20th.

Your remaining balance will be due on May 31st.
What is included?
Wyndham Alltra Cancun is a luxury all-inclusive resort. This means that all food and alcohol are included with your room rate and is why rooms are priced per person.

Hola Weddings will schedule private transportation to and from the airport for you. We recommend utilizing this service to simplify your travel days.

The resort spa and excursions are an extra cost.
What if we want to do our own thing in Mexico?
Cancun and the surrounding area is an amazing travel destination! We want this wedding week to be as much about your unique vacation as it is about our wedding events. All confirmed guests will be sent an itinerary of wedding events prior to the wedding month. This way, you can plan your own adventures around the scheduled events.

We are calling the days after the wedding our "Family Moon" rather than a Honeymoon. We'll be enjoying the resort and some experiences in the area with the kids. All of our guests are invited to join us for some of these things but there is no requirement to do anything! Enjoy Wyndham Alltra Cancun and the beautiful Riviera Maya area in whatever way you would like! It's a vacation after all!
Are flights included?
Airfare is not included and the cost of travel to Cancun varies depending on where you are traveling from.
You will want to fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN).

The best prices for international flights are typically available around 6 months before travel. This would be around February. We also recommend setting up Google Flights alerts for your desired travel dates. They will email you when the best pricing is available.

Is it safe to travel to Mexico right now?
We have heard this question several times and we want to make sure that you feel comfortable with our chosen destination. Cancun/Riviera Maya remains a popular destination for people from all over the world. The US State Department notes that Cancun has friendly locals, a low crime rate, and is one of the safest areas of Mexico to visit.
Are you registered anywhere?
As a couple with an established home, we originally did not feel comfortable registering for anything. Truly, the love and support of our family and friends is the most valuable gift we could ever get. Many of our loved ones have asked that we offer some type of gifting option so we set up a registry with Honeyfund. Gifts will be used for our family vacation time after the wedding. Please do not feel any obligation to give a gift, whether you are joining us in Mexico or not. The registry can be found here.
